Open the oysters carefully as to preserve as much of the liquor as possible, and leave then in their shells
|

Sprinkle them lightly with salt
|

Sprinkle more liberally with cayenne pepper

To each add a knob of butter
|

Place the oysters in oven at 180c for 5 - 10 minutes until heated thoroughly

serve with sliced lemon and brown bread and butter
