push the clove into the onion
|

put the milk and the clove/onion into a saucepan and bring to the boil

add the breadcrumbs and simmer for 20 minutes
|

remove the onion/clove
|
|

add salt and pepper to taste
|
|

|
stir in the butter and cream until dissolved
|
|
7
|
serve at once with pork, chicken, turkey or other white meat
